Iron leg = =

    Today's lecture is about Taiwan's food. The teacher is interesting but the film he show us is all in chinese.....I think it might be confusing for friends from US. Maybe we should suggest teacher change the film next time?
    
    The next talk's teacher didn't come for class, so we went to the NTU souvenir store. And we saw something horrible near the department of life science. There were lots of police and part of road was blocked. Then we heard that someone has beed suicide there!!!! I was really shock because it was the third case that people suicide in campus this month. I hope that everyone can treasure their life.

   After luch, we head to National Palace Museum. I have been thier for several time. But this was the first time I saw so many tourists in it. I guess I still prefer to savor these beautiful collections quietly.

   At night, we went to Shilin Night Market. It became underground was really wierd. But I still ate a delicious oyster pan fritter, stinky tofu and shaving ice.

   Although I felt tired today, But I am still going to play badminton with my friends tomorrow morning!!!!!! YA~~~~ 

Trip : Yingge and Fuyang

    Today, the first class is experimental design. I think it is really important for doing project in the future. The teacher has a special accent so it is hard for me to concentrate on it. Then the second class is about Dr Tom's life as a field biologist. This talk is so interesting !! I guess it needs passion to do these kind of research. And I can feel that he really like go to the field !!

   

     After a short luch time, we head to Yingge Ceramics Museum. Although my parents had sent me to learn how to do some ceramic when I was little (some are still in my hometown~~). I though it is still interesting to know some history about ceramic in Taiwan. After that we have a small DIY lamp and we can paint colors on it. Everyone's product is really pretty. I am not really good at drawing, but I want to pretend these is a small house and have lots of  silver grass around it.

      At night, we went to Fuyang Park. Mr Li is a really cool teacher. He can recognize all kinds of frogs by only hearing the sound. We saw Formosa toad, Spectacled toad, India rice frog, Guenther's frog and Meintein treefrog tonight. He even catch a snake by his hand !!! We are so sprising at that time.

He is really awesome.

       Before we go back to NTU, we are so lucky to see a firefly. It is normal in Hualien' s mountain. But I don't I can see it in Taipei these kind of big city.



  Today is so happy but exhausted. But I will get ready for tomorrow's trip. : )

    Today I woke up really early because I was almost late yesterday. The first stops we went was Jingshan. We learned how to do the blue dye. It is really interesting.  We use the chopsticks, rubber band and popsicle sticks to help us make beautiful pattern on the cloth. Everyone's works were all fantastic!

 

    Next, we head to DDM(Dharma Drum moutain). It is really different from other temples in Taiwan which were crowded and noisy. It makes me feel peaceful and calm.

    After a serious and quiet lunch. We went to Juming Museum. I really like the speaker and all the works inside the museum. It had lots of interesting meaning behind them. And there are some pictures that I took from the museum.



Trip : To Yangmingshan and Beito

  Yangminshan National Park is a famous tourist site in Taiwan. I only went there several times and the purpose is to pick the callalily. But the Balaka Trail is really beautiful. I have learned to recognized many new plants, ferns and insects today.

    After the trial, we walk for a long time to get to the bus. Then we head to Siaoyoukeng. I really like the speaker there. Her english is really great!!! After that we went to Beitou Hot spring museum and Thermal Valley.

    Today is really nice. I never been to these places before. Even though I am Taiwanese. (But I am not come from Taipei !!!!)
    I think I need take a rest right now. It is so tired today~

A day for museums and lectures

    The weather was really hot and humid today, but it was really lucky that it wasn't rain while we were outside. The first stop we went is NTU Zoology Museum. We saw many birds and mammals specimens. One of the coolest thing is the specimen  of wharthog's head. The thing filling the head was actually wood and some polyester!







    Next, we went to NTU Insectarium. I have never been there although I have many friends in department of  entomology. It really had coutless insect specimens inside.

  

We also saw the largest dragenfly in Taiwan. It was still alive inside the net. 

Before we left here, we met lots of kids. There were so cute.

    Then, we had three classes for geography,  flora and marine organism. It was pretty cool, but it was kind of bored compared to the museums. But I still learns a lot in Flora class.

   Finally, I hope it won't be rain tomorrow!!!!!!

OH MY EYES

    Today was a little bit horrible. When I woke up this morning, I felt that I can hardly open my right eye. Then I looked to the mirror and foud that my eye was swollen! It was so embarassing so I wear a sunglasses to attend the opening ceremony. I hoped I did'n look wired.
    After the ceremony, I went to a clinic to take some eye drops. Fortunately, the docter said that I was just too tired so have a sty. Thanks for everyone who had worried about me today. I guess I will get better after a good sleep.
